Rivers Bed

from Cold Lore by The Diamond Blow

/

lyrics

Our screens are lost to weather, providing winds have their way
On tombs moss of pillow loss, under willows sway my head will lay and rest
Where branches fall a ladder hangs, through fire which the severed lead
The walls face with writing state, by the banks of the rivers bed

A tower tells once forests felled, over barren lands for whom it tolls
Crept silence filled my heather quilt, in the cover of the midnight cult
The wolves cried when grandeur died, the world shades an eye of grey
And each birds song sound laments gone, with the turn comes another days demise

While it flows right by
Our lives past yearning stones they ride

The asphalt grates the corners wait, leagues of shadows follow close behind
Up from the deep returned in sleep, in your ocean there´s no place to hide
Your breath will rise in levels, from harvest comes the day of leaves
Through your licked ears young serpents cleared, innocent your name the Eastern breeze will blow

While it flows right by
Our lives past yearning stones they ride
While it flows right by
We ride past yearning stones our lives

Our seams are sewn together, when kinder things have their way
While hands will stitch the fog will lift, reveals to you another day to live
At dawn we crawl a sparrow lands, no sand have the hours spared
All with pass through pain of glass, by the banks of the rivers bed
